1.1 This policy document applies to Jedi Coders Ltd (hereafter referred to as Jedi Corders), Coders and their Parents.

1.2 'Jedi Coders' is to be interpreted as Jedi Coders Ltd, Company number 14203120, incorporated on the 29th of June 2022.

1.3 'Coders' is to be interpreted as a student(s) attending one, or multiple Jedi Coders lessons with an active subscription.

1.4 'Instructor' is to be interpreted as an individual contracted by Jedi Coders to carry out the teaching of Coding, and ancillary duties.

1.5 'Parents' is to be interpreted as the mother and/or father of the 'Coder', or their legal guardian, or the individual by whom the subscription was bought for the 'Coder'.

1.6 'Bronze' refers to a Learning Buddy membership of Jedi Coders.

1.7 'Silver' refers to a Coding Squad membership of Jedi Coders.

1.8 'Gold' refers to a Elite Coder membership of Jedi Coders.

1.9 Other words are to be interpreted by their definitions in the most up to date edition of the Oxford English Dictionary

2.1 Following the purchase of a Bronze or Silver membership for a child under the age of 18, the following personally identifiable information is collected:

  • 2.1.1 Name
  • 2.1.2 Age
  • 2.1.3 Discord Username
  • 2.1.4 Name of the parent in whose name the transaction was made
  • 2.1.5 Email of the parent in whose name the transaction was made
  • 2.1.6 Phone number of the parent in whose name the transaction was made
  • 2.1.7 Address of the parent in whose name the transaction was made

2.2 Retained information will not be shared with third parties without the consent of the parent of the child for whom the membership was purchased.

2.3 In the case of retained information being shared with a third party, this shall only be carried out for purposes that are associated with, or ancillary to, the work of Jedi Coders.

2.4 Retained information shall be stored securely on an encrypted document.

3.1 A full refund may be requested within the first 7 days of the purchase of a bronze membership.

3.2 Silver memberships are strictly non-refundable.

3.3 In the event of a team member not being contacted 24 hours prior to a scheduled lesson by the coder and/or their parent, Gold membership lessons are strictly non-refundable.

3.4 Upon the purchase of a Bronze or Silver Membership further information regarding joining details and access to the discord server will be provided within 24 hours of the purchase

3.5 Should one, or multiple of the Discord Server guidelines be breached, the user shall immediately be 'kicked' from the Discord Server, and their subscription shall be cancelled without a refund.

4.1 Jedi Coders, or any of its instructors, do not bear responsibility for the behaviour of a Coder’s peers in Bronze or Silver lessons .

4.2 Coders must at all times engage with their instructors with courtesy and respect.

4.3 Coders bear responsibility for ensuring their attendance in scheduled lessons.

4.4 Coders must at all times engage with their peers in Silver and Bronze lessons with courtesy and respect.

4.5 A breach of 4.2 and/or 4.4 may result in the termination of a Coder’s subscription, without a refund.

4.6 The determination of whether behaviour is ‘courteous’ and ‘respectful’ for the purposes of 4.2 and 4.4 lies in the sole discretion of Jedi Coders.

5.1 Instructors must ensure that instructors treat Coders courteously.

5.2 Instructors must endeavour to provide adequate attention to the needs of every Coder, should they be in a Bronze, Silver, or Gold class.

5.3 Instructors should endeavour to protect the welfare of Coders attending their lessons.

5.4 Instructors shall endeavour to monitor the Jedi Coders Discord Server during classes, in order to ensure that the Jedi Coders Discord Server Guidelines are being adhered to.

5.5 Instructors shall endeavour to monitor the Jedi Coders Discord Server before and after classes, in order to ensure that the Jedi Coders Discord Server Guidelines are being adhered to.

6.1 These Guidelines apply to the parents of Coders.

6.2 Parents are to ensure that their behaviour during correspondence with instructors is courteous and respectful at all times.

6.3 Parents are solely responsible for any technical issues that impact a Coders ability to participate in a lesson or the Jedi Coders Discord Server.

6.4 Parents are solely responsible for the good conduct of the Coder for whom they have purchased a Gold, Silver or Bronze subscription.

6.5 For the purpose of 6.2, the interpretation of whether behaviour is ‘courteous’ and ‘respectful’ lies within the sole discretion of Jedi Coders.
